You call this a call to action? This is more like a tagline, or biographical information. It lets your customers know that you are a well-established company with three decades of experience in a particular area, but it doesn't do anything, and more important, it doesn't tell your customers to do anything. A call to action is just that; it asks your customers to do something.

Call to Action #2: Get a Free Estimate
While this is a better choice than the first, it still is pretty weak on it's own. Add urgency to your call to action by adding words like today or now and exclamation points at the end of your call. In addition, estimates usually are free to you're not really differentiating yourself from your competitors. You need to add something that really stands out in your prospect's mind as important and needing to be acted on right away.

Never, never, never mention price in your call to action. You need to establish value to do that, and there isn't enough room in your resource box to do that. Once you get them to your website and they have the opportunity to research who you are, then you can talk price with them.

Call to Action #4: Visit our site today for a free report on 10 Ways to Boost Your Bottom Line!
This is the best call to action so far. It includes the word free, a number, and exclamation point, and a giveaway to get clients interested in what you are promoting. This is a great way to generate site traffic and get a great prospect list.

So now that you see the difference between a good call to action and a great one, but it to work in your resource box and watch the responses grow and site traffic rise. Make sure your call to action is sound, and test different ones to see which ones get better responses. Remember, marketing is all about testing different methods and measuring the results. Simply choose the one with the highest number of responses for your permanent resource box.
